Soothing warmth in eight variations - this is how our sauna world presents itself to you. Experience wellness at its best during your Black Forest vacation.
The beneficial effects of heat have been known for thousands of years, and the fascination of saunas and bathing worlds remains unbroken to this day. In “Wolke 7”, sauna enthusiasts will find everything their heart desires: from the laconium at 50° C and the Schwitzstüble at 90° C to the two outdoor saunas and regular sauna infusions. Afterwards, the natural bathing pond, several ice fountains and the natural waterfall in the freshwater pool provide the necessary cooling.
EXPERIENCE WEIGHTLESSNESS
The floating pool is one of the highlights of our wellness oasis. Embedded in a salt lounge made of blue Persian salt stone, an oriental-style bathhouse welcomes you. The pool contains high-percentage brine, heated to 36° C. The high salt content allows you to experience weightlessness and deep relaxation. At the same time, your body is naturally purified and you gain new energy.
RELAXATION FOR BODY, MIND AND SOUL
The relaxation rooms in our “Cloud 7” live up to their name and you are sure to find your favorite spot in the outdoor area of our wellness facility.

The Vitalcenter in our 5-star superior hotel in Baiersbronn is all about exercise. Equipped with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment and treadmills from WOODWAY, you can work out here with a beautiful panoramic view of our pleasure and wellness resort. In the adjoining gym, a variety of courses are held under the guidance of experienced experts.

Good To KNOW
As an overnight guest at the Engel Obertal, you have free access to the entire wellness area, including the range of courses on offer. Please note that access to the textile-free area of “Wolke 7” is only possible from the age of 16. The Engel is family-friendly: children accompanied by an adult can use the indoor pool and the indoor whirlpool of our spa and wellness area daily from 07:00 to 22:00.
